IBC Light Sensitive (GNX LP)
GNX LP 1,000-litre IBC with an opaque white or black HDPE inner container, for liquids that need protection from sunlight, UV and visible light in store and in transit.
A translucent IBC is a poor fit when the filling good is affected by sunlight, UV or visible light. Prolonged exposure can discolour a product, drive oxidation or photochemical change, weaken actives, or shift stability through storage, handling and transport.
GNX LP (Light Protect) uses pigmented HDPE so less UV and visible light reaches the liquid. The inner container is specified opaque white or black; the pack stays a 1,000-litre GNX IBC for forklift handling, stacking and controlled discharge.
Specify GNX LP when light can change the quality, stability or chemistry of the product. Food-contact and pharmaceutical duties still need the customer’s material, cleanliness and regulatory approvals — light protection is not a substitute for those.

Opaque white or black

Opaque white
Pigmented white HDPE cuts light transmission by reflecting and scattering it. Use where light protection matters and a cooler, cleaner appearance is wanted; white can limit heat build-up compared with a darker bottle.

Black
Carbon-black pigmentation in HDPE absorbs UV and visible light strongly. Use for highly photosensitive goods, outdoor staging, and chemicals whose quality is affected by light. Black generally blocks more light than white; the black inner is specified at 0 permeation across 200–780 nm.

Chemicals and agrochemicals
Photosensitive intermediates, additives, photo-initiators and selected reactive solutions; liquid pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers whose formulation can shift under UV. The formulation’s stability requirement decides whether an opaque inner is needed.

Pharma, food and personal care
Photosensitive pharmaceutical liquids, vitamin solutions and biotechnology materials; food ingredients such as colourants, flavours, concentrates and some edible oils; cosmetic actives such as vitamin C and retinol. Food-contact and pharmaceutical duties still need the customer’s material, cleanliness and regulatory approvals.

Colourants, resins and coatings
Liquid dyes, pigment dispersions and specialty colourants can change colour or degrade in UV and visible light. UV-sensitive resins, adhesives, coating ingredients and photo-initiator systems need light-blocking packaging to hold the fill stable.
